  3. Weddings benefit from professional expertise as the suppliers do it all the time.
  4. Catering, Photography and videography should not be done by amateurs.
  5. Know where to save money and where to spend money – some items can be DIY’d.
  6. Budget and time are key deciding factors on what you should do.

Wedding Insurance – What does wedding insurance cover?

Here are some tips for working out a wedding budget

  1. Guests: Don’t cut back on your guests to fit your budget, make your budget fit your guests.
  2. Non-negotiables: Work out what are the items that are most important to you.  You may be able to cut down in another area.
  3. Hire don’t buy: You don’t need to buy all the suits or dresses or even all the styling items. Just hire them.
  4. Pick the right people: Make sure you pick the right vendors before paying out any deposits.  You don’t want to lose money on a change of mind.
  5. Check Packages: Most suppliers have a variety of packages to suit all budgets. Make sure you have checked them all.
  6. You don’t have to have it all.
